When you thought you'd seen everything.
Here's a photo of a friend of mine, Frank, skinning a buck during an archery hunt. Martin bow did the killing of course. These two deer came into camp and fed around while we skinned and quartered the deer. The one on the left is a legal spike!
Crazy stuff man, the other day I was in a treestand and saw my first deer of the year, a medium sized doe that I was content with shooting. when she got 20 yards away I drew back, thinking that my Martin Bow in invincible (which we all know to be true of course) I took the shot with a couple branches in the way, during flight my arrow struck a branch, glanced about 90 degrees toward the ground, and grazed the doe from spine to belly on the opposite side of the deer in the area of the kidneys; leaving me with a pile of hair-dark brown, brown and some white included. After thinking that it was a complete miss from my tree, I saw a vertical shaved line on the opposite side of the doe as she ran away---pretty cool to see.
