    Default Jaguar Take-down recurve #40

I recently bought the jaguar take-down recurve #40 kit and lost the dowel-nut that holds the limb to the riser while putting away my bow. I have tried looking at hardware stores for the nut, but no one seems to carry it. I have emailed and called customer support but I have not recieved any responses from them. Does anyone know where I can get a new nut because I really want to go shooting again?

    Thanks,

    James

I assume you are talking about the barrel nut, right? It slips into the side of the riser and the limb bolt screws into it, right? Call Martin at 1-800-541-8902. When prompted push 2 (?) for warranty dept. If you have to leave a message and most likely you'll get Joel. He'll take care of you. Or you should be able to buy one at any Fastenal store. Maybe even the specialty fasteners at Home Depot or Lowes (hit or miss).

I wouldn't waste time with emails to Martin. I know of many people who have tried with no response.

I never liked that the barrel nuts would fall out on mine. I assembled my bow and dripped candle wax into the nuts and filled them flush with the riser. If you ever want to take them out, you can push them out easily with a bolt or dowel rod.
