    $165 sounds like chicken feed to me. I used to travel to Illinois, but when they raised the price some time back and it cost $491 for non-resident archery it was time to draw the line. In most cases that's almost air fare to some tropical island.

    Now that it has been determined it would be a good price to hunt, I just have to get Bill to send me a round trip ticket.

    They haven't got back to me yet but they were going to get it weighed. It was at least 160 to 170 pounds.

    judging by the size of the left hoof in comparison to its right G2 and distance measured from the tip of its nose to the outer corner of its left eye(squared)then multiplied by 3.14 and divided by the total distance measured from inner ear base to inner ear base.... and all measurment being estimated from the photos.... by my calculation... I'm getting a rough estimate of 168-171#. find out and let us know,Hutch

    For anyone thinking of an out of state hunt, I find this little map to be quite handy, just click on the state you're interested in and it will take you to that state's DNR, a few clicks later and you'll know all you need.
