Default Spoke too soon - Alien sight mounting holes not threaded

Picked up an overstock Alien X, label says built in Aug. of '09. Shooting in the string before sight and peep, about 100 shots, decided to finish it up. Sight screw would not start, a little dark in the shop so grabbed a light to see if there was dip, etc. Light on the subject - no threads cut in either hole. Smooth as a baby's ...

What is the proper size tap for those? Thanks

10-24. I'll wait until tomorrow and call Martin before screwing something up. Shooting great, but not sure I want to stay instinctive.

Remembered I had some taps to clean after dipping. Took some photos before, but was successful in threading both holes. Just can't believe it was missed at the factory.

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^

One of my Shadowcats was the same. When my son and I set it up for him to shoot, we had to tap the sight mounting holes.
No big deal, insert tap in cordless and tap away.

I used a hand tap, a little light oil for paintball gun seals. I try to stay away from petroleum based lubes, just to decrease issues.

And I agree, ------ ------- must have been asleep at the wheel when he signed off on it. I plan to hunt with it tomorrow, rut kicking in, so would hate to have to send it in for something like that. I'll probably go instinctive tomorrow, peep didn't arrive today.
