    Touching the string or a credit card width away. Depends on the bow. Which ever works the best. A quick tip would be to use a piece of scotch tape on the rod to use as a filler to tighten up the slack. If that is not thick enough use electrical tape.

    Yeah, the tape trick will do wonders for you!
