Have a question

I just picked up a 2011 alien z and when setting the draw length i noticed that the underside of the top limb has about an inch and a half splinter peeling up out of the limb. I don't know if it is safe to shoot or what I can do to get it fixed. This really upsets me because I have been trying to get ahold of one of these forever and finally get one and don't want to shoot it because I don't know if it's safe

Looks to me like it is delaminating. Hard to say but doesn't seem to be strucural. Take it back to the dealer and get it warrantteed

My pro shop called for my new limbs and told me it was ok to shoot till the new ones cam. But like you I didn't chance it. So next step is the shop. Sorry to have to tell you but at least the are warranted.

It is nice that they are warranteed. It looks to me that the laminate had a poor bond with happens. But at least it isn't toast.

I think e hunter had one do this. He clipped it, sanded the splinter a lil and is shooting like it is, and watching to make sure it doesnt get worse.

I'm not going to do that. Especially when I can just get the limbs replaced

i wouldnt shoot it unless you shot says its ok and they put some glue on it thats what they did to my old bow last year

Already called the shop and limbs are going to be ordered in the morning
