I shoot fingers non-sights...is there really any other way.
I was only able to take about a dozen shots this morning before i got ready for Thanksgiving feast. We are still having 35-40 mph winds. The winds are coming up from California...they say. Anyways, I shot the three different gators in groups. they always stayed in a 1 1/2 inch group even out to 40 yards. I was shooting off to the left. But I had bad winds. Not the best for trying out fletching. I did get a vane rub on one of them.

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^
And you live in Oregon, not further north east.
Don , how are you trimming these Gator vanes down, got a feather burner?
It's funny how we've almost come full circle, back to feathers. Heck, I began with full length feathers, pre cutting a 5" and two 3" fletch from each, or two 5 inch. Ah... the smell of burning feathers in the evening.....will get ya chased out to the garage.![]()

No burner, I just use a pair of scissors to trim them down in hight, same for snipping them to length.
I like the way they fly better at 3/8" tall over the 1/2". Out to longer yardages they don't drop as bad. When I shoot them 1/2" tall I hold the tip of my arrow on the top edge of the target face at 50 yards, trimmed down I hold with the tip under the top edge of the target face.
