    thats a dandy! congrats.
    you must be pretty thick skinned to be out in 20 degree weather in a long sleeve t shirt! or do you guys use celsius down in kansas. lol. what stage is the rut in your neck of the woods? i know its different in different parts of the south

    Boo, it's post-rut here right now, but we always have a small "second rut" in mid-December. Actually, I think of the Dec. rut as the 3rd rut, since I see a little rut activity in mid-Oct. usually. Big rut of course in mid-Nov. As far as the cold, it was 20 degrees. Celsius isn't for the midwest. lol I had already taken off my outer layer for the pics. I always take it off before field dressing and dragging. Less laundry to do. lol

    MLN, that was the first buck over 100-110 inches that I saw this year. I'd gotten a glimpse of him before, but wasn't sure about his size. Only saw him way back in the brush where it was hard to tell what he looked like. Most of what I've seen this year are in the 15-50 inch category though. lol
