    Question Which Bow to Order...?

As a Martin Silver Star Shooter, it has come time to order a new bow. I currently shoot a 2011 Shadowcat for spots and field and a 2008 Firecat for hunting. The Shadowcat is shooting well but the Scepter V looks intriguing. The Firecat is alright but seems to be less forgiving than I would prefer. I like the look and reports of the Onza. Or, do I wait and see what Rytera comes out with? Please let me know your thoughts!

Last years Onza lll was well liked in 99% of the posts on it here, and as I understand it, the Scepter V is out of house for anodising, so none have shipped as yet= no reports....Have'nt seen or heard much on Rytera's 2012 line as yet. As you know, ya just gotta shoot 'em to see if a bow will be a 'fit' for you.

The Alien Z is an overlooked bow that is great for target and hunting.

I've never shot one, but I have also heard that the Onza 3 is a great shooter. A member on here(Ehunter) owns two of them and likes them.

As far as the Onza's go, it's the best shooting bow I have. Got a new 2011 Alien X and it's a great shooting bow, but the Onzas still feel and shoot better for me. Less vibration, steadier hold, virtually the same draw, same speed. Easiest bows I have ever tuned as well. I just think this is the best bow I have seen from Martin since I started shooting them 5 years ago. I do plan on switching them and my FC400 over to a regular slide and STS this winter now that hunting season is over. I will say, so far, no noticeable cable wear on either Onza after 1000+ shots on each. If I had to cut back to one bow, it would be the 70# Onza.

Yeah, I know I'm grumpy and opinionated.
