    Default Super Diablo recurve

I have one of the first few models of the Super Diablo when Martin put them on the market. I actually got this bow for free from Martin when my Diablo suffered a crack in the riser after having been with it for 5 years. I called Martin, which was about 15 years ago, explained my situation and they sent me a spanking new bow. It hadn't even been advertised yet. My question is I have been having some tuning problems and my memory does not serve me as to what was the brace height for these bows. I'm at 7 1/2 - 8". Am I too high? Low? I don't understand why these bows were discontinued even though the Dream Catcher resembles it.

If I remember correctly, the SD went thru a few changes in length. As for brace height, the string should be comming off the top of the curve, just before the end of the string grove, your best bet would be to contact the Yakima plant or go over to Stickbow's Leatherwall board, join up and post your question there, as Larry Hatfield is a frequent poster there, and since he designed/ built the bow, he would know.
