met a guy who was sceptical when he had one installed but ended up loving it. put the horseshoe around your sight housing. this one is 21 grns-sounds heavy. there is a micro that weighs 9 grns. same as 3/16 in peep- is that big enough for extreme low light hunting?

what do you guys think? any experiences?

I used one for a time on my Bengal. Too much weight on the string. Also it would lay flat and on release of the string and it would give a lot of air restriction. But as far as that it was one of the most accurate peeps I have used.

Do more research over on AT. I have read some threads about it cutting strings, but that may have been an earlier version. I also think that maybe the people who had problems served them in too tightly creating a kink where the string comes off the bottom edge. It certainly would let more light thru than a normal peep, but there is another one on the market that is nearly foolproof; called Predator's View. It's actually made by the brother of a good friend of mine, Mike Meyers. All machined aluminum, various colors and sizes. There must be some good in it as Martin carries it in their catalog. I can absolutely say I've seen no string problems with one and there are quite a few being used in these parts. And for anybody that's interested it's all American made.

I don't know how to post links so just google "Predator's view".

I tried one, and unlike Hutch, I didn't care for it. I had problems with alignment. For me, it was hard to kep my sight ring centered well vertically. I went back to the old Fletcher peep that I bore out to the size I want.

after looking at AT i really don't know anymore. sounds like a lot of people like the red eye, the conical theory could work or might just be another gimmick. might go with the hooded version, might not. might try the string splitter could be problems with that too. barry says the predator is good and knows the creator, could go that route, then again i might not. probaly just going to get another basic cheap peep
    thanks for the help guys

sorry that was a little sarcastic or that might not be the word for it either\
Barry-any info on the weight of the smallest predator peep
