Creep tuning

Does anyone ever creep tune to check cam timing? What do you consider an acceptable variance in shot placement? I finished shooting in centershot and nock point, and started creep tuning. I'm about 1 1/2 inches low at 20 yards when I creep about 1/4 inch. Cams look like they are in time on the drawboard, but this makes me think my top cam might be just a hair behind the bottom one. Thanks for your input!

Sonny, I had read, (I know, dangerous lol) that if you pull hard into the wall and shoot, then use a soft draw, the two arrows should impact the exact same place. I tried this on my FC400, and the soft shot was low. Both cams seem to be very close to in time if not dead on. I can't feel the cams hitting at two different lengths, both seem to bottom out at the same time. Bow is quiet, and pretty much vibration free. I thought that maybe this could be part of my broadhead tuning problems. Put 1/2 twist in the cable feeding into my top cam since the soft shot was low, and that screwed everything up. lol Now either way, I'm hitting 2 feet low. Putting it back the way it was, and call it good. I'll just move my sights for broadheads if I have to.

Sonny, I was just using the 1/4 inch as a number. Probably more like 1/8th or less. I was at the wall, just not pulling hard into it. I also realised why I was hitting low after adding 1/2 twist to my upper cam cable. Draw cord on my rest had moved and it wasn't coming up all the way. That's what I get for being lazy and not serving it in originally, even though it had never moved before. Everything is back to shooting well again.

Don't use it at all, I just draw the bow the same each time.

When I am setting a bow without a hard wall. I like to have the top cam rolling over about 1/8" before the bottom cam.
