I'm only using field points (no hunting in the UK), so a straight or offset straight fletch will give me the fast stabilisation I need, and will also maintain as much speed (velocity) as possible over distance, as I am shooting 3D's out to 60 yards plus.

Good point. I've found, even when killing foam and paper, that a harder offset, or a nice helical, really helps out in stabilizing. Ive been experimenting with a 3 degree helical, and im loving the results with both broadheads and fieldpoints...out to 70 yards as of now.

I'm making up a dozen with 3" Fusion Duravanes. Last year I bought 4 different vaned 1/2 dozens and the Fusion vanes seemed to be quieter and more accurate for me.

I started out with predator vanes, and had no issues other than none of the archery shops around me carried them. So I switched to blazers, and have had similar success. I am now looking at the newer 2" feathers, got some samples from Truflight. I really like the look of the feathers and have read good reviews on them, but once again no one around here carries them, and they even proved to be difficult to find online for a decent price. I did however find a deal on Gateway feathers' Rayzr 2" feathers, and they should be here any day... I'll let you know how they fly!
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL

I used the rayzers last year to kill a turkey, fletched some arrows with my hard offset and they were amazing out to 75 yards (all my yard will allow me)
and good thing too...took this feller at 71 yards

If anyone on here wants to try out the Rayzr's I have maybe enough to do a half dozen arrows.
I'll send them to the first one to pm me their address.
    No charge.

I fletched them last night, will give them a fling today! (The two odd colored arrows are Trueflight, I'll see how they compare)
