Default Went to a new range Sunday.

This past Sunday my brother-in-law-Don and I went to a new range for a 3-D. Neither of us has ever shot this range before, it was the only shoot for the weekend so we jumped in his truck and took off bright and early Sunday morning.
1 1/2 hours later we get there ans see some others we both know from other ranges. This was a tough range to walk, it was layed out over a very long area with some steep climbing up a canyon shooting at targets along a sidehill trail. I didn't shoot as good as I should of and only scored a 305. It was a 45 target one arrow shoot.
I did end up bringing home 2nd place behind a friend of mine, he got me by 12 points.
Had a great time and the weather was awsome, mid 70's and just a hint of a breeze.
    Don.

Your pics kind of remind me of a range I used to shoot at in Arizona.
Steep, rocky, hot, more rocks and almost all the shots were downhill.
It did make you really concentrate tho because if you missed the target there wasn't much hope of finding anything but arrow pieces.

Well I can tell you one thing you'll surely never get fat on that range.

Mid 70's? In January? I definitely live in the wrong place.

I would happily drive an hour and a half to shoot somewhere like that, thanks for the pics.

Good post Don, and great pics. I was going to ask which person you were, but then I spotted the ShadowCat. Tht place is really unique. Looks more like mountain goat trails than an archery course.

I don't know when I will be going back to that range, they don't have many 3-D shoots per year. It was a tough range for sure. When Sue saw the pics she told me she won't be going to shoot there, she don't like hights.
No 3-D shoots for me this weelend but I am going out to the range on Friday and Sunday then next weekend it's off to Vegas, Yeah Baby.....LOL

Looks like a challenging course. Bet it was fun.

    Good luck in Vegas, Don.
