Awesome tip! Yeah I didn't have to do much twisting with my Cheetah, so this will be the first real venture into a lot of that. Planning on heading up to Cabela's this weekend and getting a Bowmaster. Been putting it off for a while, but with this I know it will be very handy to have that available. Might pick up a new sight while I'm there too. Got a short list of other small things (new quiver) that might need wait.

My old '09 FC came from the factory with the mods set differently. I didn't notice it until I started tuning. The #5 hole should be a 29 inch draw. Set up and tuning was a breeze on my AX, so you should have no trouble at all. Keep us updated!

Ok got the mod changed. Just checked the timing and the top cam is just slightly behind. Going to go look at the manuals again to see what needs twisting. I'm definitely going to need to give the cam and module groves a good look over when I swap the strings out. The servings on these are showing some wear and I can see a few rougher spots along the tracks. Fingers crossed things aren't too bad with this once I get it all apart. One thing I am seeing is he didn't have his cables served for the ccs and it is chewing em up, so I'll be giving those groves a good look also.

The top cable stop is coming to rest before the bottom.
Add a twist in the cable that feeds into the top module
If I'm reading this right, mine is the opposite, I need to add a twist to the cable that feeds into the bottom. Is that right?

My son's Pantera has CCS and the factory string isn't served in the CCS area. I don't see any wear either. Maybe your strings have a lot of shots on them? Perssonally I don't see the need for the extra weight. They should be changed out every couple years anyway. But that is just me.

Almost got it. Top is still just a touch behind. Not going to mess with it any more until I get that Bowmaster tomorrow. I can't do the limb bolt trick another time on this. Cranking this thing back down is a little hard on the hands. Did notice that the sound is coming down and it feels fast as heck, much better than how it felt last night. I'll be excited to see exactly how well everything goes once everything is dialed in.

Twisting the Bowmaster is harder than twisting a limb bolt!

I have mine where a half twist on either end makes things worse, not better. You may have to adjust your string too. Check A2A, BH and draw length. Speedy mentioned creep tuning for speed but I have never heard of using it for that, only for forgiveness. But I am a rookie!

This is probably why you got this bow so cheap. The owner thought it was a $hitty bow and didn't shoot good. Too bad he didn't know how jacked up it was! A few hours of your time and it is shooting like a dream.

Slips my mind, but I think it was Barry - said using the bow master with a socket/ratchet makes it much easier. Right now A2A and BH are spot on! I think I might need 1 more twist in the cable to get them synced up. Might give the hand a rest and then crank them one more time. Trying to get some grease on the bolts too in order to help that along, they were bone dry the first time I worked them out.

Got the cams synced up and put on a new TR Firewire V5 sight. Pretty nice, but don't know if I'll need all 5 pins Started working on sighting in and my 30 pin is almost directly on top of my 20! Don't want to get too deep into it, got some strings coming from JRH60 ( sorry Hutch ) was told he's the man when it comes to Alien strings. But so far so good, feels good and feel like it sounds good too. Definitely going to need to get my hands on a chrono and see if it is performing as well as it should be.

Amazing what a little know how and elbow grease can do...

That being said, PICS! PICS! We need some bow-porn... or are you gonna wait for the new strings to reveal you're new beauty all dressed up?
