    Default Carbon Rod

Shot a Vegas style tournament this last Saturday, throughout the whole shoot my Fatboys were fishtailing. Looked my bow over and thought I had it figured out, shot a 3d shoot Sunday with the same problem. Could have swore the launcher arm on my QAD Hunter was bouncing back into the arrow so I ordered a QAD HDX off of Ebay. This evening I shot my Bemans and checked for contact, none what so ever. Noticed the bow felt as though it was kicking a little at the shot

Was back in the house checking centershot and everything else when I noticed the screws holding the guide rod on the riser look like it splintered the rod. Closer inspection showed the rod is split all the way through making it move during the shot, hence the kick.

Calling Martin in the morning, hope they can get a new rod to me in short order. Gonna miss indoor 3d League tomorrow night, sucks but not going to risk the rod going the rest of the way mid shot.

Well, I didn't miss leagues last night. Had my nephew's brand new Parker that he got for Christmas that has been at my house since I set it up. Needless to say I borrowed it without him knowing it, consider that the set up fee.

All I can say is I missed my Silencer, shot 30 down from the norm.

Martin shipped the new rod yesterday so I'll be up and running again soon.

The new HDX showed up today but gonna wait til next week to put it on, just as well put the Apex 6 pin sight I bought several months ago too. It'll be like a whole new bow.

At least it worked out for you that's a good thing. I would have to admit I would miss the silencer over the Parker too! I have always liked the silencer.

New rod came Saturday as I was leaving town for the Iowa Deer Classic so I didn't get it put on til Sunday evening when I got home. Arrows are flying like darts again. Told my son I'm back in business so he better watch his back at leagues Wednesday, he just laughed like he wasn't worried.

Tried to get pics of the cracked rod but my camera is a piece of garbage, thinking about seeing what an Easton Fatboy would do to it but the wife would kill me.
