With the bow bug, I'm now looking at budget used bows. Is there a fairly straightforward way of determining the "badness" of stress (or what appear as stress) marks? For instance (sorry, no pics) I'm looking at a '73 or so Howatt that has probably a 7" run of very, very, fine lines across the upper limb. Ready to blow up or ready to shoot?
