If you were like me you would have retired 2 years ago. When I left the workforce I really had no choice. Had one year to go to get my full pension. Corporation was being sold and they offered me an early out. My option was that if I worked one more day I would have had to work another 6 1/2 years to get the same pension---DUH, a no brainer. With the help of my investments I limped through till I was able to draw social security at 63. Right now I only need about half that so the bank account keeps getting bigger. Of course I learned a long time ago not to make bills I don't have the money to pay. Several of my old coworkers used to call me cheap. They're still working ten years after I retired.
