Talk to Hutch on here. He makes strings so knows all about this stuff. My guess is that you're not serving tight enough. I know when I redo mine I have to hold the string close to where I'm serving to keep it from twisting as I go. Basically, tight as a bulls azz. The only problems I ever encounter is a slight serving separation right under the arrow nock, aout one thread width, but I use a rope release so this creates a very sharp bend at that point. I have only ever used older braided fastflight and rarely have any problems with it kinking, doubling over itself or anything else, and only use about a 4" center serving.
