A 62" take-down?

I've been shooting a budget 62" td (diff brand) that seems to be a really good fit (pull, length "managability", and weight)... Looks like some of the other older compound risers might be candidates for Saberizing (the Scepters, Razors, and Slayers) into a 62" ~3lb bow. (The 62" Hatfield take-downs & Hunters seem to be out of my reach

I've got two 06 Slayers, and don't think that they'd make it under 3lbs, or at least after a day on a 3D course or a day of hunting they sure don't feel that light, had to make a sling to carry it all day.

From every thing I've read about them, Samick make some real shootable takedowns. And inexpencive as well. Several models under $200, with good looking wood risers.
I have an old Lynx that I was going to warf ( convert to recurve ) but just did'nt like the metal riser, prefer a wood riser or the feel of wood in my hand. You can sometimes find a Matrin Hunter for around $250 on Fleabay.
So, how are you liking the 62" bow, feel a bit smoother,and easier on your fingers?

The 62"er I'm shooting now is the S___ Sage. The length seems just about perfect for me in two ways - navigating through the woods course and finger feel w/ a 30" draw length. The bow just doesn't perform close to what the Jag or Saber do though (complete novice opinion here). The Sage has tons going for it - light, quiet, low shock, not bad looking, priced right, but it doesn't seem to have the punch that the Martin Saber/Jab limbs have.

Speaking of warfing, there was a '75 or so Howatt Super Diablo compound on the auction site that looked like a fun project bow but it had those semi-circle cutouts/pivots rather than pins. Beyond my ability. Hoping Martin warfs another bow @ 62" ~3lbs. Thinking I'll keep my eye's open for an older wood-riser Warthog compound to play around with if one comes up... or a Saber or Nighthawk... Fun stuff. What happened to the early Saber? Looks like it was based on the Del Rey target bow and was also the fastest recurve in the stable. Not a winning combination?

Was probably too close in specs to other bows in the line-up, and probably went the same way as the Super Diablo..... Was expencive to produce ( lots of laminations ) and was replaced with the DreamCatcher. This year they're trying the Gail Martin Signature, another 62" recurve. Really like the looks of the bow, and that its weighted at your draw length, but for the money, the auctin site has lots of Damon Howats for less.
