    Nic gator! Did you shoot him on land or off a boat while he was swimming a friend of mine goes down to louisiana and shoots them off of boats looks pretty wild!

    gator meat is great. and yes it tastes like chicken. most people only eat the tail, but on larger gators you can eat the ribs as well.

    I shot him on the edge of 1 acre pond. took three arrows to put him down. he went under with the first one and broke it off. I shot him on one side of the neck and he swam to the opposite corner of the pond very slowily. he was pretty much done, but when i went to drag him him up he opened his mouth and came at me so i picked up the bow and let him have one more at point blank range. all three broadheads had broken blades. carbon express 3 blade mayhem broadheads, i bought them on clearance to waste on coyotes varmints. They came in handy, too bad i wasted all three of them. as far as boating, i would love to bowfish gators, its a dream of mine. I really wish i could get a nuissance license but its very hard around here.
