Thought I'd share my most recent Frankenstein project. Used a Harbor Freight rotary tool, Rockler Woodworking jig pieces and some spare things I had laying around. Tell me what you think, questions welcome.

Very nice sir. My dad and I picked up one of their mini-chops to use for a saw. Still have to rig up the ruler/guide, but plan to put it to use hopefully this weekend. I like the bearing you have in place for the nock and the slider for the length adjustment is nice!

Very nice, that's much more intricate than what I did. I bet it works great!
DP, I also got one of the mini chops from Harbor, one thing I did do though is change the little metal saw out for a 2" grinder wheel. It works much better for the carbon arrows; not as much vibration...
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL
2011 Onza 3: 70#, 28.25 draw (AMO), 384 gr arrow, 288 fps
2005 Saber: 70#, same arrow, 250 fps

For sure, I wouldn't think of using the metal blade for cutting the carbons. Cut-off wheel only! Pretty excited to use it, just need to get something in place to set the proper length so everything is consistent.Originally Posted by wscywabbit

Nice Diy job andy_camping, I too love making my own equipment. I made an arrow saw a few years back. I made it out of a piece of angle iron. A sewing machine motor and a presser foot. Works like I bought it out of a store.
