I wanted to add a little info to this thread, the arrows I was shooting are Maxima 350s, overall weight 395grn. I fletched them up using Bohning 4" wraps and 2.1" Fusion Zeon vanes. My 70lb Onza has a loaded string but is still pushing this arrow at 308fps. Im old school when it comes to broadheads and only shoot fixed blade heads. I cant say enough about how great the Phatheads fly............same as field points every time. Im also excited about using these Zeon vanes this fall, they gather so much light, very impressed!!!........Just for Hutch!! Name: 100_0613.jpg

So far I think they are great. I put them on using locktight gel and that worked well. They really do gather alot of light outside. Broadheads fly good with them too.

I've been playing with broadheads to find that field tip flight. How do they fly out from 50 to 80 yards? I shoot AAE Max Hunters with a right twist and an Easton Axis end-fused that weight in at 420g. I found that the Slick Trick 100 mag fly the best from 30-80 yards for me. I will do some research on these Patheads, but for $28 a 3 Pac, Slick Trick are hard to beat.

Ive shot them out to 60yrds and they performed great. Im a tree stand hunter and rarley do I shoot past 35yrds so 60 seemed like a good test for me. Im shooting 28" GT hunter XT shafts with the 2.1 Fusion vane.......straight fletch.
