Hunting rig speeds?

Oh no......not another thread on speed!! . Yup here we go again, actually I was wanting to brag ah little about my Onza! Ive got some time off this week.......you know, turkey season and all, anyway this afternoon I got the chrono out and was playing. I was shooting my hunting rig which is my Onza and this is how it turned out.......70lb limbs, 29" DL, 28" Maxima hunter shafts at 398.5grn loaded string..............Im talking super peep plus verifier, kisser , monkey tails and string loop............(gonna take monkey tails off) dont feel I need them. Anyway...........average was 294 fps. I felt pretty good about that. Oh......the bow is actually set at 72lbs at the moment. The arrows drive in very deep into the target............Im thinking an old bucks rib cage dont stand ah chance!!!

Very nice. Can't complain about that at all. Just wish I had a couple more inches of draw length, but the good Lord decided to make me short lol. I'm sure that your rig will be successful at harvest this year!

dont u love how martins shoot. My rytera nemesis is set at 63lbs 29 inch dl with a 381 grain arrow im getting 292 fps. I do have 70 lb limbs

Gotta love it when you have these bows tuned and set up well. My 2011 Onza @70#, 28.25 True DL, 383 gr. arrow @ 302fps. Peep, whiskers, D-loop on the string. And more than the speed, it's the most accurate bow I own.

I havent put my firehawk through the chrono yet but it seems pretty fast enough...All i can say is im at 29"dl,375 grn arrow,with a d-loop on string thats it.It's sittin at maybe 57lbs DW,anyway should be plenty fast..........
