browning micro midas bought brand new and shot for a year. great learners bow for me before moving to an adult bow.
has been hanging up in the shed for the last 3 years. i've been hoping that my 12 year old son might shoot it but he still prefers a genesis.

The first bow that I have owned, yes. The first bow that I shot - no. I had been shooting older bows of my dad/step-dad while I was coming up into the world. Wife got me my Cheetah 2 years ago and ultimately that will stay a family bow and might go the opposite way and my dad might end up shooting it!

My first bow was given to me by my father when I was 15-16 years old. A browning Cobra 50", 50# recurve. It still looks brand new. He bought it back in Great lakes, Wisconsin around 1970's when he was an instructor in the Navy. He would go to deer camp and he never killed a deer with it, Just a bunch of beer cans. Apparently hardly any of the other guys actually went out and killed anything with their bows either. It was just a little vacation to get away from the wife's.

    I sure wish I did.!
It was a 50# Bear Kodiak that I bought in 1976 at a pawn shop in Birmingham Alabama for $50.
It came with a glove, hip quiver and 6 or 8 arrows.

Still have the Browning Cobra 50# compound I started with. Hunted with it for 2 years, never killed a thing. Other than 2 bows I have sold (neither one Martin), I still have every bow I have ever owned. Kinda nostalgic about them I guess. lol
