Question About the Nitro Cams

So I was reading through the 2011 Martin manual and got to the Nitro Hybrid Cam section. It stated that for longer draw lengths, the rotating draw module for draw length will read #8 and #9. I own a 2011 Silencer and the rotating draw module only goes from #1 to #7. I am a 30" draw. Can someone please clarify the rotating draw module please. I currently have my draw set on #7.

Im pretty sure you need to get the long mods,my firehawk has cat2cams and it goes to 29 with mods on it now to get to 30" i would need long mods which have 8 &9 on them.

pretty sure I have it figured out. The Silencer has draw lengths from 27-30" so numbers 1-7 on the rotating draw mod's cover every draw length in the 27-30 range. So the #7 hole is 30". Correct?

Kyle, now you got it. I don't know what manual you were reading, but when the Cat cams came out in 2008 there was only one size cam and two different modules. The short mod covered most of the draw length range with holes 1-7. The larger one had holes numbered 8 & 9.

I'm not really certain what year it happened, 2010 I think, but Martin did away with the two module system and started making the Cat 1.5 and 2.0 cams. The smaller cam (1.5) covered the lower 3" of the draw length range and the 2.0 took care of the upper 3". There was about a 1" overlap in the middle. The same module with 7 holes is used on both cams.

Although there have been some minor changes in the cam machining and a name change the Nitro cams are essentially the same as the Cat cams and the modules are essentially the same, too, with slight improvements to eliminate cable wear.

so does that mean i cant get long mods(8 & 9) for my 2011 nitro 2's. finally went to an outdoors show and found out i'm more of a 31 in draw than 29 or 30. i guess my winn free flight has allowed me to shoot shorter draw lengths somehow. i bought a scott on ebay a while back and haven't really been able to make it work out but now shootin my length stetched out it started to feel better

If it mentions the 8 and 9 holes it is a typo from a previous manual. The original CatCam had an additional module with these positions. Unfortunately this module is not compatible with newer versions of the Cat or Nitro/HyBrix cams and is no longer available.
