    Default Drilled her!

Just saved some fawns this spring! In the blind after turkey and 2 coyotes strolled out and came to the decoys. At 30 yards I put a Beman ICS Hunter tipped with a 125 grain Slick Trick Magnum through the closest one. Was gonna try for #2 but the battery in my rangefinder went dead.

I'll post pics as soon as I get them transfered to my home computer. Can't figure out how to post from my phone yet.

Congratulations! Song Dogs are'nt the easist bow trophy, and as you said, now another generation of deer lives on. In a perfect world, the fawn you saved grows up to be the biggest buck you've ever seen!

looks like the rangefinder & you did real good on coyote#1; but you let the rangefinder cheat you out of another shot. if one sticks around like that again, just stick a pin on it and let er rip next time.
what did the coyote do you shot?

Thanks guys. Ryan thatnks for posting the pic.

Madman, I didn't have to range her but the other one was about 60 yards when it stopped but I wasn't completely sure. Anything past 40 I like to know the exact distance before I cut it loose.

After she took the first arrow she spun twice and stopped and started biting the exit hole. I put a second arrow through her and she went 10 yards and was done. Unfortunately her hide wasn't worth keeping, very thin fur this time of year she was pretty rubbed.

last night of deer season last year I had one come right into my tree stand. Came with in 20 and I had to stand up to get a shot on him, he spooked and ran back a ways. I thought he ran farther than he did and I barely missed him right over his back. It was pretty cool though, I hadn't had one come in that close to me before!

    Nice shot SJunior!
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL

Saw a few when I was out turkey hunting these past few weeks, no birds though.

In the last few weeks of the deer season, I had one come in on me about 20 yards away but was in the thick stuff and didn't have a shooting lane for. If he would have come 10 feet further to the left, he woulda been smoked. Stuck around for a while, but was always in a spot where I couldn't get an arrow through.

There are some big ones out where I hunt, a couple that rival the size of German Sheppards ... looking to get out soon and put some down with the rifles.
