Default Need some help from the ancient ones!

What I got here is an ancient tribal bow. I was asked by someone to identify this bow here is what he said.

"I have this set with about six arrows all carved out of bamboo. Each unique , with some kind of black tattoo looking symbols on them. The bow has no string and would maybe like to add one. Any ideas where I could get help identifying this set? Is it a true tribal or replica? I dont know."

    Here are some pics.

If they're replicas, someone did a nice job! Probably the best site I know of to help identify that archery gear would be the PaleoPlanet forums. Some of the guys over there do some increadable work. Here's a link.

Hutch, my Dad was all over the South Pacific during WWII and espcially New Guenia (spelling). It sure looks to me like something from that part of the world from some of the things he sent home. One of my most treasured items is a Water Buff. handled Machety that he traded a tee shirt for there. Find out for sure and let us know, way too cool.

Well hopefully he'll come by and tell what he learned from PaloPlanet. My first impression was from the Phillipines.
