Default Shadowcats take top spots at Ca. State Broadhead Championships

I went to the Ca. State Broadhead Championships this past weekend, with me were my brother-in-law, Don Livingston and good friend Bill Waltz,
Don and I were shooting in the Adult non-sights class and my bud Bill was shooting in the Adult Senior non-sights class.
The shoot was set up just like you were out hunting, unmarked 3-d targets. It was a one arrow shoot that was 42 targets Sat.and Sun.
The total head count I think was about 192 shooters, all I know it was an awsome turn out. The weather was awsome except for the wind, it blew pretty good both days but that just made it more fun...
Sat. I shot real good only blanking 3 targets and finishing with a 315 31 points ahead of 2nd. Sun. was a different matter though. I started off good but then started shooting just under everything, the arrow slapping the belly of the targets as it went by.
I was able to hold off the 2nd. and 3rd. place guys at the finish to edge out second by 17 points bringing home the tital of Ca.State Champion. Along with that come the tital of Ca. State Bowhunter.
Don, Bill and myself joined up with another good friend of ours, Louie Rangle to enter the team event and took 1st in the team event.
Bill shot a good score of 286 on Sat. then smoked the class on Sun. with a 322 to finish with a total of 608
for 1st place in the Senior class.
It was an awsome weekend, great shoot and great friends.
I will add the pics later today once I get them all resized, but for now it's off to meet up with my buds for breakfast.

Great shooting Don! Congrats and keep up the good work !
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL

Good to hear something good about shooting these days. Congrats to all of you. Just for information, but how far were the shots you had to make?

    Barry,
The shots ranged anywhere from 10 yards out to I think the longest was 70 yards.
