I guess I wll be diging into the christmas light, I like the way you think you should see some of the stuff I have to come up with at work

I build all my stuff. It's cheaper and custom. Those pics are from the first one. The one I have now is a full top with the lights in all most the same place.

Covering the sensors from direct sunlight. Allows the shadow of the object that passes through to be picked up. Not enough light or florescent lights isn't good either. Too dark there would be no shadow. Florescent light strobes too much and it doesn't get a good reading.

So you want there to be enough light in order to cast a shadow and that is what the chrono is reading?

Well I got to play with the chronograph a little tonite with the firecat first 3 shots 286 fps and a nock above the 2 stock ones the next 2 shots 299.1 then 292, 292, and another added another nock no change 292 I could not find the 299's any more I was loosing good light I will try this weekends when I have more time and light.

Yeah I wanted to spend more time but I think the amount of light affecting the chrono need to find that 299 fps then I will be happyer work gets in the way of my play time
