What is your set-up for this year

Stand hunting for the big guy in my avatar, I'll be using my 63# '06 Slayer, Muzzy 3 blades on 30 in CarbonExpress Predators. Same rig for Elk. Spot and stalk deer, I'll be useing an old Ben Person 'Cougar' recurve, 62" 45#s @ 28" that I draw 30", shooting 31" tapered Port Orford Cedar from Wapiti Archery, tipped with 2 blade 125 gr Magnus Buzzcuts. Just to change thing up a bit, and cause I like shooting instintive.

Beman ICS Hunter 400,27 inch with 100 grain Grim Reapers. Martin Firecat TR2 and Cheetah.

GT Traditionals wrapped with 3Rivers Archery orange tigerstripes fletched with Trueflight 5 inch orange barred for the hens, white barred for the cock feather. Topped off with Muzzy 125 gr. Phantoms. All the orange and white? I live in SC, Clemson Rules!!!!!

Looks like Victory VAP's 350 spine, and 100 gr. Buzzcuts or Shuttle T Locks for heads. Fusion vanes for fletch. Arrow weighs in at 386 grains. Not sure what bow they'll be flying out of just yet, most likely, the 65# Alien X, or the 70# Warthog.

Looks like everybody is pretty well set for this year .Out of my Firecat will be GT XT Hunters with Grim Reapers for deer and for bear 3 blade Muzzys.My Pse will be shooting GT XT Hunters and Slick Trick Mags for deer and bear.

This is three shots with the same arrow and head, no resharpening between shots.
First is a 2 1/2" thick parts catalog that was hanging by a string. Think I would have gotten more penetration if it would have been sitting solid.
Second is a 30gal steel drum.
Third is a tire.

The fletching got pretty wrinkled up when I pulled them out of the barrel but other than that - no damage to arrow or broadhead.

Those Buzzcuts are pretty impressive Spiker.

Well. so far, he's ahead in the early innings, but the ballgame is far from over! He's pretty crafty, and I am playing on his home field. Got a trail cam pic of him 15 minutes after I installed fresh batteries, so the big guy watched me change 'em out. Found another of his favorite areas last Nov, about a mile from the olld homestead, at least there where a lot of his tracks around the beaver pond. Several big trees overlooking that we can put a stand up in, unlike the spot the avatar pic was taken, where the tallest tree was the apple tree the cam is on. I can see that spot from a couple of stands, 130 yds and 158 yds away, so I could take him with my .270 Win and the hand loads I loaded just for him, but thats not how I want to take him. Just finished testing revolver loads yesterday, so we're ready for the 'after the shot tracking'. We're allowed to carry personal protection here in Oregon, and are always packin when changing trail cam batteries, Just in case he shows up while we're there! Bear season opens Aug 1st. Berries are ripe Sept, when I'd prefer to take him. We'll see how it plays out.

SL, still not completely decided on what bow I'm taking, but I have it narrowed down to just two now. lol Everything else is ready to go. Just have to keep shooting both bows, and see which one I like best. Hope you get drawn for your tag. This will be my first time hunting moose, so it's going to be exciting.
