    Default Tri-color strings

For everyone getting fancy with custom strings, I'm just starting to experiment with doing different things. how many strands are u making tri-colored strings. We have made some 18strands and 1 24 strands BCY Trophy, which seems to be too thick. Are u guys making 20 and 22 strand and how if u are?

Gotta ask Hutch on that one. He just made me a 3 color set that is beautiful and VERY well made. Made them out of Trophy, and they are as good as any strings I have ever seen.

With Bcy Trophy different colors are thicker. Black, od green etc etc. I remove some of the wax to bring it to the right size. Currently I build most of my strings in 22 strands. I find this amount works very well. 20 strands for lesser dw bows. As far as Three color strings I have built many of them. Lay it up 8 + 8 + 6 you will need 4 separators. Make sure each separator is in the same way when you twist. Use a piece of string material in between each layer of color. After you twist, bundle each layer of color together by pulling the extra piece of string material down to the other end of the string. Almost the same as you do a regular string but use a little more effort
