Default Went to a shoot yesterday

It was a local club shoot, State Capital novelty shoot.
I shot with a guy that I work with.
He took 2nd in the adult longbow class and I took first in the adult bowhunter class, I was shooting left handed.
I belive in the last pic you can see the arrow on the right, I caught it as Jon released.

I don't get the targets. Please explain them to me. And the scoring. They're definitely not your average field face. And what are the target butts made of?

    Barry,
They had targets of all the states, the state capitols were orange spots, they scored 10 points, if you hit the state and not the spot it was an 8 and if you hit the brown of the border around the state it was counted as a 5. If you missed the complete paper it was a 0. In the top pic my arrows are the dark shafts, they scored as 2 for 15, one spot for 10 and one out of the state for 5. Jons scored one for 5, the arrow he is pulling was a 0.
There are alot of novelty shoots out here, they all sorts of things they use for the targets, they are alot of fun.
The target bails are stacks of carpeting strapped togeather.

Nice shooting Don. Taking first place by shooting left-handed is impressive.
