    Default Grim Reaper

Hello all, I am having an issue with the Grim Reaper Whitetail Speacial 2" cut practice tips. The tips are coming apart on me, I started with an older one it came apart first, then I tried a brand new one out of the pack it came apart after about 20 or so shots? I have tried gluing them but nothing will hold them together. I even tried making a practice tip out of an old head and it ended up breaking the blades off after three or four shots. I love these heads and have had nothing but great results on all animals.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

Not sure what can be done it is a mechanical head, aside from buying a parts replacement kit..But @ almost 20 bucks I can see why a guy would shy away... what sort of target are you shooting into?...perhaps something softer would not break the blades off.. there is all sorts of expanding foam used in packaging parts to home insulation. You could fill a cardboard box half full of it and stand back to watch it grow.... I used some insulation stuff to repair a old 3D broad head target. It worked great
It's all fun an games till you put that big boy on the ground.. now its time to get to work

You could alway switch to a fixed broadhead, maybe a Muzzy in your future.

I shoot into the (Block) for target practice nothing out of the ordinary. It's not breaking the practice tip blades they are just coming unhook at the top, it broke the old head blades I made into a practice head.

Think we will need pictures to solve this

Always nice to have a back up plan, do they fly with the Grim reapers or do you have to tweak a few things

No they do not fly as well as the reapers due to the larger in flight profile but they are an outstanding head. I am a broadhead junky, I enjoy preparing for the hunt as much as the hunt itself.
