Well I feel a lot better now. My daughter and I got 2 string sets done and shipped and 2 super tuned bows done to be delivered. Now I will come home from work and make sure everything is ready then snooze.

Well guys and gals, first day out nothing. But we expected that. Rain was coming and it hit hard for a while, so I got in the blind with the daughter and took it easy. We got a few more things done out there. Now the next time we are out there it should be great.

The rain is a good thing, sure wish we has some here, would have really helped today. Morning got off to a real good start, got the grandson up out of bed without have to drag him out, time to begining building a stand for his up coming rilfe Elk hunt, so he needs to be along ( if he does'nt put any effort into building the stand, then is it really his stand ? ) to be involved in the decision making process, Anyway, we're all up and got the gear loaded, ready to make the 1.9 mile ride into where the big bull was caught on the trail cam, and when we get out to the gate, we had a surprize awaiting us. We forgot to make the weekly phone call to Weyerhaeuser for current information.



A view of from the front, bike n bow, bike n bow, bike n rifle, Grand son has a valid bear tag, which can either weapon choice. Yeah, we know... we are working on a bike rack! Nothing yet leaves the youngest elkslayer any room. We prefer to roll in my Ranger as it does'nt have the same gasoline appitite as Es's Yukon does!
