Default Does this Bow require and supposed to have a Cable guide?

I bought a 1996 ish Martin Ted Nugent Ultimate Beast on ebay and it cable without a cable guide on the Cable Guard Bar. Is this bow suppose to have a Cable guide on it? If so, how do I get one?

Also what Martin Bow is this a clone of? As its NAME does not come up on any of the SPEC SHEETS for the older Martin Bows.

    Thanks!

I Googled it and came up with a picture of one on Craig's List. Yes, it does require a cable slide. You can get a cable slide at any archery shop. The rod should be 3/8" diameter and there are several types to choose from. I would suggest one of the teflon ones made these days.

As fr the bow's specs, I can't help. Most of the charts I've found only go back to 2000.

I can post all the specs for you when I get home this evening.
I have an UB that I bought new back then.

(the cable rod I think is still the old 5/16" style)

I was thinking it might be 5/16" from those old days, but am not sure. It wouldn't be that hard for the OP to measure it and be sure. I also know that 5/16 slides are hard to find these days. It's not the best thing, but a 3/8" slide will work on a 5/16" rod. I just checked the Lancaster catalog and they don't even carry a 5/16 slide any more. Martin lists a 5/16" rod for the Jaguar (archive section, item #8894), but I don't see a slide listed.

From 07 back its 5/16 and they don't make a 5/16 glide for an inner slide. They make one for the outer slide. Which causes too much outer pressure on the cables.
