Will 4 vanes work with a blade spring rest?

I try not to group shoot too but it was too tempting while trying out 4 vanes. I gave into temptation.

Naw, thats one of the results of the increased surface area of the additional vane, more wind drag, faster stabilazition, and more noise. As an experiment I once made a 6 fletch with 6 5" shield cut feathers, and as expected, it would only fly about 50 yds ( unless you aimed it sky high ) and then come to a stop. Very noisy.

So, im nt alone wif the noise. Cheers

DS, wouldn't 3 vanes with a heavier helical work better? and give your the best of both worlds.

Sometimes the hand n backside just itchy. Grab arrows, striper n start fletching to kill weekend time. Hahaha

I'm enjoying the four 4inch AAE vanes. They weren't noisy for me. I didn't like the fusion vane setup. I'm gonna check IBO regs on vanes. I forgot to check if there's a vane rule.

Ah checking regs ,must be gearin up for a shoot.. dont see where it will matter how many you put on 6 if you like thou i could be wrong let me know what you find out

Common sense tells me that there should'nt be any regulation against 4 fletch, but then what does common sense have to do with rules and regulations.

Don't know how they'd work with the 90 degree spacing. I have a Bitz jig and if I were going to go with 4 fletch I'd do 75x105 spacing and use a low profile vane. But being a feather guy I won't put that much weight on the tail end of an arrow. I'd use feathers. Now that you have them fletched try checking the FOC.
