Exactly, and I'd rather have all the kinks of a new bow worked out (yes I realize the kinks are probably my own problem, not the bow's) before hunting season starts.
That and I've seen the frustration of getting a new bow right before season, getting it set up and tuned (in camp) and I can tell you that even though it wasn't my own situation, from sidelines it didn't look like fun!
So how much sooner do you really want them?
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL
