Uuuhh, it stops arrows. Or did you want a reaction to the target face? Nice bear. Although it really should show the lungs, bears have large lungs with only ribs bones to protect them, a much higher percentage shot, although you may have to track 'em!
All of the shots would have killed the bear, 1st one was in the heart, rest were lung shots, the heart shot is tough on a bear, as it is low and close behind the massive leg bone, if that leg is back half a step, you'd have no shot at the heart from that angle. Just sayin.![]()

Not only is a heart shot on a bear tough, but take notice that the heart is protected pretty well behind the leg bone on all animals shown. It's actually a pretty low percentage shot considering the heavy bone, which broadheads and arrows are not designed to shatter. The lungs are always the better choice.
