    Default The 2013 website

I see the 2013 version of the website has been published.

The site replicates the claim of 7" brace height for the Onza XT as seen earlier in the 2013 catalog. I still find it hard to beliveve this, as Onza 3 / Onza 3 Pro / Rytera Alien XT have brace height of 7.25". I just see no reason why the brace height would be any different for the 2013 model that seems to have the same components. Did I miss something or did Martin make a mistake with the specs?

    Rytera Nemesis, 2012
    Martin Onza 3, 2011
    Hoyt CRX 32, 2011 (SOLD)
    Martin Phantom II, 2003

There might be a slight difference in the limbs and/or cams. The cams are now called Nitro 3 hybrid cams.

This year the onza XT is being offered with the 2.0 cam and the smaller 1.5 cam. The 7 inch is an approximated brace height between the two cams.

Yes, there might. But I cannot imagine any reason for this.

I know, but I think the difference must be only in their appearance. Speaking of which, I prefer the older Nitro cams, as they seem much more rugged than the new Nitro 3 with overly thin material.

I don't know for sure of course, but the Nitro cam is such a great cam that I just don't think its shape or dimensions would be any different for 2013.

Actually this is nothing new. Those cam sizes were offered before.

This could be a logical explanation, although this would still be confusing: why change how the specs are given, if the dimensions are the same as before?

Actually in my opinion, Martin should publish tuning charts with exact dimensions for each cam size etc. An example from Hoyt: http://www.hoyt.com/assets/tune_char...Tune-Chart.pdf

This makes the most sense, although, this would'nt be the first time that there was an error in a Martin Catalog or website. Just sayin.

I have to agree with your last sentence. I know I make the mistake of answering questions concerning the cams and I'm always referring to 1.5 cams when the person asking the question means 2.0 cams. There is a distinct difference between the two.

Navigation should really be at the top of the page. Can always run a foot nav, but the primary nav should be at the top - easy fix ... match the index nav to the rest of the page ... jmo.
