    Default Took my stands today

We had a heat wave today so I took my ladder stands down to store them until August. I still left the feeder out as well as my cams. I hooked a home made solar rechargeable gel battery system to one of the cameras. We changed our emergency exit lights at work so I was able to get a 6 volt gel cell for free and I had an Otter box I won at a cigar crawl. I purchased a 6 volt solar panel for 16.99 and used some wires and connectors from old chargers around the house to wire it up. So for 16.99 I hope to be able to keep the camera in the field a long time without need for battery changes. The unit did power up with full bars after it was all mounted to the tree, time will tell if it functions as planned.

Nice Chip, you'll have to keep us informed on how the trail cams do...
