Our President is hoping for his voter base that elected him (The low-informed) to make noise so he can sell his gun control and migration plan without resistance from the GOP controlled congress, or blame them so it helps in the mid term elections. If controlled he'd have a blank check book and can control anything he wants to shove down the American's throat. I was at Sportsmen Warehouse in Phx and the Guns section looked like a E ticket Ride at Disneyland. Not a gun, ammo, powder, primer not even reloading dies... Gone.

I'm predicting a chunk of the Dems that are up for mid-terms here soon that are on the bubble won't be touching the gun control issue at all in fear of losing any votes that could come from gun supporting Dems.

Good stuff guys. I sent my wife down to apply for hers today . The sherrif's office in Everett WA has had to up their staff to accomodate the number of applicants, and issued a statement for people to be patient because they can only process 4 apps an hour....
My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL

Here are some interesting statistics from the state of Texas Crime Report for 2010 http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/crimereports/10/citCh3.pdf

I broke the numbers down a little converting the percentages to actual numbers.

In 2010 there were a total of 1248 murders.

    602 with handguns
    187 with knives
100 with hand to hand or foot.
    59 with shotgun
    50 with blunt objects
    33 with rifles
    75 with unknown source

It is interesting that they are trying to ban assault rifles even though they accounted for less murders than all of the other tools that were used. Don't be fooled that they won't go after handguns!

Also they found that of the 98 total justifiable homicides, 48 were felons that were killed by Police Officers, and 50 were felons that were killed by citizens fighting back. They are basically trying to turn the citizens into victims and allowing the 50 felons to continue adding to crime statistics.

Anybody ever heard of a shotgun that would hold 20 rounds, other than the Street Sweeper? Also I thought I read that all his shooting in the school was with handguns which might have 15-17 round magazines. That might explain all the 30 round mags in his vest. So what is fact and what is liberal fiction?

Lanza's use of earplugs can only point out one thing to me. He didn't want to hear that last round coming.
