BioLite Camp Stove. I want one.

Some of you guys might know that I'm a Prepper. I was browsing a thread on stoves and came across this one. I already asked the wife to get this for me for my Birthday. It's 129 bucks. You use Pine cones, twigs, etc as fuel for cooking and it charges a smartphone while your out in the mountains.

Wow! looks very handy only thing i would be kinda leery about is having heat that close to my phone. I might be over reacting a little bit but i wouldnt like my 200+ dollar phone that close to a flame!

I have a extended cord for my Iphone. I wouldn't be worried. Check out their website. They have the Home stove too that they have tested in third world countries...Less wood...less smoke.... I was impressed.

I like it, I think it would not only be good for camping, but a great emergency tool as well. A packable source of safe contained heat with electronic capability could be life saving if one became stranded.

Too big, heavy and bulky for me to carry on 'pack-it-in' hunt trips.
And not alot of heat generated for the amount of fuel - plus if your out in the rain or snow - it's gonna be really hard to get it going.
Great idea they have for sure.!!!

Soon as I empty out my next can of nasty AXE I'm going to make a second one...

And I pack either just a cheap AA battery powered cell phone quick charger, that you can pick up anywhere, or one of these

(after watching the video I find it really odd that these people living out in the African bush country have to cook over open fires but
own iphones...)

got me in the same boat.now i will have to do somthing i have never done befor..........BUY AXE BODY SPRAY.i will just have to give the spray to my worker to use up since he is into all the smell good stuff.

I pack an esbit pyramid stove. You can use fuel pellets or just feed it with thumb sized sticks gathered anywhere. No need to carry liquid fuel. Hey! Maybe they have obama phones in the bush?!?
