How do install sights on my recurve?

I visited a buddy of mine whose dad had a collection of hunting recurves from the 70s. I was amazed when I saw that most of them heeb be drilled for sights and had sights installed on them as an Olympic recruve shooter who switched to hunting I immediately started wondering if I could do that to my greentree TD recurve but I am just not sure how. So has anyone here managed to put sights on a recurve that wasn't originally drilled to accept them? or there special sights for mounting on hunting recurves without having to drill?

There have been sights on hunting recurves all throughout it's history. It just more associated with Target- fita archery. Check out 3riversarchery.com for different sights. Those folks are some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. They sell parts for drilling and tapping your bow to accept screw in sights or accessories or they might sell a stick on sight. Use caution though. If your interested in a competing with that bow. some Outfits don't allow sights or sight holes, or even marks of any kind as a sight reference.

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to check them out. I don't plan though on competing with it, I'll be using it for hunting. I would love to get proficient enough for instinct shooting but a lot of my time on archery is eaten up practicing FITA since I am on my college's Olympic recurve team. so I kill two birds with one stone if I can get sights on my hunting bow.

As Simon says there are all sorts of sights avaible, even tape on sights with multiable pins. This 4 pin Eagle Eye sight attaches to the AMO sight bushing present on most current bows, and its less than 7 bucks.
