    Default New Toys Are Great!

Picked up a new toy with my tax return... Springfield XD40 Subcompact.

It will be my new carry gun, I'm very excited. Went and shot it for the first time today and I was impressed (not because of my accuracy, I haven't had a pistol in years) but because it did well in spite of me

My wife packed my bags and threw me out, as I was walking out the door, she told me "I hope you have a long and miserable life!"... To which I replied "Oh, now you want me to stay?!" LOL

yep its a 40, and the Springfields come with two magazines... in the case of the sub compact, one short (9 round) and one long (12 round) with a spacer for a longer grip.

I haven't owned a pistol in about a decade, so obviously haven't shot one much over the last few years. Went out yesterday and ran a couple mags through it at 15 yds, shooting at the big center target and the little one in the corner. I'd have to say that it did well in spite of me.

Great pistol, I had one in Sub Comp .40 and the standard .45 barrel. I found out that the more I shot it; it came into the zero more. I had the .40 stolen out hunting. Someone broke into my pop-up and stole it on and Army Installation. I was archery elk hunting, and on the installation and you can't have a fire arm while archery hunting. That said you will like it. Just picked up a DPMS (Low classic AR-15), and a Taurs PT-140 sub comp Millennium with my Tax return. Make sure to try to get a few more mag for the .40.
