    Default Fury xt cams and ATA?

    So I have my buss cable set to the -10 post on the cam and I was wondering if that will change my ATA to a new measurement? I have a Pantera and ATA is supposed to be 34" but I'm getting 35 1/4". Should I twist up my buss or yoke cables to get it back to 34" or is this an acceptable measurement since I'm at -10 on the cam?

    I would do what you have to do to keep the bow in spec while maintaining the draw weight you are looking to achieve. Going an ince and a quarter beyond spec wouldn't be acceptable for me. jmo.

    So how many twists should it take? Or round about how many will register, say, a half inch?

    When you put the cable on the -10 peg you are essentially lengthening the bus cable.By doing so it will make the draw length shorter and reduce your maximum poundage by approximately 10 pounds and lengthen the ATA. This is how the cam is supposed to work. The ATA is measured with everything on the bow maxed out and is just an approximation.

    This---^. Specs are to be measured with the bow at max weight and max draw length. Change either or both and the specs will change accordingly. Assuming you measure and set the specs with everything maxed then when you change to the -10 peg all yoyu need do is measure the A2A and brace, record them for future reference, and go shoot the bow. No twisting of the rigging is necessary.

    bfisher has it right, by moving up or down a peg you are loading or unoading the limbs. In your case by dropping a peg you are unloading the limbs, just like if you were to back out the limb bolts only you are doing it on the cam which is supposed to keep the efficiency of the bow more in line than just backing out the limb bolts. The only twisting of strings needed might be to align your peep if it moves. A half turn in either direction is all that's normally needed. I love my bengal maxed at 60.

    Yeah when I looked at the routing of my buss cable, that's kind've what I figured. I thought I would get a longer ATA but never imagined it would be an inch or more. Thanks for all the help!!
