Shot in a tourny last sunday at cowtown in Ft. Worth and shot a 218 but missed the last 2 targets completely... Used my 40lb. bow... I way under guessed the last target and over compensated the 2nd to last by 1" at the 14 point mark and went right over its back.. I thought this would be my first 3D since I started shooting 3D's 2 months ago that I wouldnt miss any at all.. NOT BAD though for someone who switched to left hand shooting 3 months ago.... Had fun even though and I am going to be at Collin County bow hunters club in Princeton, TX on Saturday and might do an IBOT tourny on Sunday out towards Denton, TX instead of my club shoot at Elm Fork...
That sounds pretty normal. At 40#'s your speed is going to be slower than most of the others shooting so your distance estimating skills will be all the more important - and that takes experience. Keep shooting them, you'll gain on it.
