Default The Olympic Games Competitors Draw Weights

Been looking at a lot of Youtube and Olympic archery of various years. Just curious, generally, what draw weights are both men and women using?

    Thanks!

Can't say with any certainty, but it used to be about 36 to 42 pounds. That's where we get the term ARCHery.

On same line with Barry. Both my Shakesphere were used for Olympic Trials - many years ago. One, I think, was 38 pounds and the other 32 pounds, but then with fingers I drew 29" so a bit more draw weight than the given 28". Forget how they were draw weight wise, but length, one was 68" and the other 72".

Yep, like Barry, where they the term Archery came from

No, I did not compete in the Trials. I bought them from ??? Lord! I forget his name.

OK, thanks for the info! They look so steady, effortless, and sure. With today's video equipment it's like your watching from 15" away. Also saw Justin Huish in the 1996 games, I wonder what he's doing today?
