Default Robing Hood Robin Hood :-)

Yeah, I know I know, it's an expensive shot.. but I don't care. As a new shooter, I'm super stoked.

4 weeks ago, I was thrilled with 6" groups.

Then I got tighter, and narrowed down to 3" groups.

I took advantage of a local shop offering some group lessons, So I took 4, 1 hour lessons.

I was the only one in the group with my own gear. And the only one with consistent groups.

But, Being new, I still had stuff to learn. Biggest thing they helped me with was back tension and not "pulling the trigger" on my release.

It worked, and got me down to inch to inch and half groups.

so the other night, I was practicing, at 20 yards, into a business card.

and I'll admit, being so new, even that inch and a half group had me pretty stoked..

then tonight, again at 20 yards, with a quick makeshift handdrawn target....

I got a Robin Hood. 4 arrows, all touching, and my fifth, nailed it !!

I'm not particularly thrilled about losing two arrows that were just refletched two weeks ago.. but hey, i have something to hang on my wall :-)

Congrats naptime, that's some excellent shooting. Now try to do the same at 60.
I used to shoot all my arrows into the same spot as well. I found that by doing that I was replacing arrows, nocks, and vanes way too often.

    Thanks. I'm working on it!

Though correction to my typo. This was 20 yards not 40.

Nicely done Naptime! I haven't pulled that off yet, but like AS, I've broken enough knocks and had to refletch enough arrows I don't shoot more than 2-3 at a dot anymore at 20

Keep it up though, great shooting!

Congrats naptime. Took me 20 years to get my first Robin Hood. Got a second about a month later, then stopped shooting more than 2 arrows at a spot. lol It's really cool to do, but also expensive. lol
