Default qad hdx or rip cord code

Been using the same fall away rest for over ten years now looking at getting a new rest qad hdx or rip cord code pro and cons any one, one of the reason I'm looking at them Is just in case back tension release goes off the rest is in a upward position

I have both and they are very similar. The only big difference between them is the QAD release is easier if you don't shoot the arrow. It has a two stage lock that releases with a push of the thumb where the RipCord requires a slight tug on the cord. Both are very quiet, easy to set up, and work perfectly. The RipCord's are about 1/2 the price of the QAD's so it boils down to preference like most other accessories.

Until i went in and tuned the spring on the ripcord, it you stick upright at times. Now it is just as smooth as my QAD HD.

It's a pretty picky thing, but I personally like the QAD just due to the thumb lever. I've used both. When I get set in my stand, I flip the rest up and leave it. Just easier to do with the QAD, especially when wearing gloves. Haven't tried the Rip Cord Pro, just the Code Red.

Make sure you get the upper grade QAD. That bottom line inexpensive rest works, but can get noisy. 4 models, so read which each has.

Don't know how all full containment rests are, but the original NAP Apache, the launch will pick up the arrow anywhere within the containment cage. So no worries.
Launch up and back tension release giving that unexpected release. I guess you'd have to test, but I'd rather have the arrow bury in the dirt than end up where you can't find it.

I truly believe they both are good, but learning how to set them up and time them is gonna be the main factor. My Qad was most difficult to time on my Bengal. Once I got it, it shoots smooth and quiet.
